Hello and welcome to the all new, Digital Media Arts (DMXTouro) at Touro College. DMXTouro at Touro College is located in New York City’s wonderful Chelsea section.
Our goal at DMX is to offer real-world, hands-on skills, as well as, in-depth technical knowledge into the fascinating world of audio arts.
As you probably already know, New York City is the home to hundreds of recording studios that record and mix the world's top performing artists. The City is a world-wide center for film, video production, post-production and television networks. It also has hundreds of live venues from the “downtown” CBGB’s to grand Madison Square Garden arena. This is the greatest place and now is the time to begin your career in the music recording audio industry and higher education. The audio industry has a continual need for well-trained people to work these facilities.
Enrolling in and completing the DMX courses prepares you to work in recording studios, live sound reinforcement venues, audio for film, video/television, audio production, record companies, broadcast and more. Furthermore, through this higher education opportunity you can become an entrepreneur and receive the education and necessary skills to start your own recording business.

Recording Studio Complex Features Four Control Rooms.
Each Control Room features Pro Tools HD2 outfitted with the Digidesign/Focusrite Control 24 Console/Interface running on G4 Computers equipped with Superdrives and 17” Flat Panel Displays.
Pro Tools®|HD is latest and most advanced development yet in Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) technology evidenced by the fact that Digidesign® is the only computer-based audio workstation manufacturer that has been awarded the Grammy® for Technical Achievement.
More professionals demand Pro Tools for their audio production tasks in music, film, broadcast, and new media applications than all other digital workstations combined.
In addition, each DMX Control Room is loaded with digital audio plug-ins and outboard analog and digital audio processing gear. Here you will record live musicians, edit, mix and finally burn audio disks of your work.
In about one year, you can complete the exciting and innovative courses listed above. In addition, you can earn 30 undergraduate college credits toward an Associate Degree in Information Systems-Data Communications with a concentration in Digital Applications. Our admissions procedures are streamlined. DMX operates a rolling admissions system with new classes starting throughout the year, so you won't have to wait long to start training for your future in audio.
Federal and state aid and loans are available to qualified applicants.
